Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Mar. 14, 2022 — Accuity, a pioneer in physician-led clinical documentation integrity solutions, announced today the successful completion of an independent System and Organization Controls (SOC) audit, obtaining SOC 1 Type 2 certification and receiving an “unqualified opinion” on its report. This result is considered the highest level of accomplishment, and the report comes following an independent audit conducted from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2021 by DHG (Dixon Hughes Goodman), a top 20 accounting firm.
“Accuity pursued the SOC 1 Type 2 audit to ensure our clients have the most thorough and transparent look at our process controls, giving them the utmost confidence in our data reporting and security,” said Todd Van Meter, Accuity CEO. “We are committed to continuous focus on implementing, monitoring and updating our platform and processes to ensure the strictest adherence to industry regulations, security standards and best practices.”
The SOC 1 Type 2 audit is conducted under the SSAE 18 auditing standard (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements). A recognized compliance and controls standard from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Auditing Standards Board, SSAE 18 is used by leading payers and providers across the healthcare industry. The audit, performed by one of the leading public accounting firms in the country, reviewed the design of controls and the operating effectiveness of identified key control areas, including controls over technology, operations, financial processes, security, and other protected data.
